I’m so pleased to report that resounding responses from our loyal and generous supporters raised the $100,000 needed to secure a matching gift for CEMEX Redwoods by December 31, 2012! Long-time League members Pete and Patty Mattson issued the challenge to match all contributions made to CEMEX Redwoods by the deadline, dollar for dollar. A resounding thank you to all of the League donors who doubled the impact of their gift through this challenge!
While the CEMEX Redwoods matching gift challenge is over, there are other ways you can double your gift to the League easily on an annual basis. Many companies in the Bay Area and beyond offer matching gift programs for their employees, and the process is easy. Usually all you have to do is verify that your employer matches charitable donations, get a simple form from your human resources office, complete it and send it to us with your gift. Some companies even match gifts made by retirees and employee spouses. And did I mention that the process is easy?
